James H. Moore Jr.

Obituary
James (Jim) Hambleton Moore Jr., age 80, died October 19, 2007 at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He was the son of James H. Moore Sr. and Marie Sohn Moore. He is survived by his sisters, Bessie D. Moore Mercer of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Katherine Moore Beckman of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Louise Moore Murray of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, twelve nieces and nephews, his “adopted” daughter, Dixie Farmer, and his cat, Tess. Jim attended Miami University and served in the 300th AFA Bn. of the U.S. Army. He was a 4-H advisor for many years and co-founder of the Pike County Beef and Breeders. Jim was a director and officer of the Waverly Building and Loan Company, a member of the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly, and a member of the Masonic Orient Lodge #321 F and A.M. A memorial service is planned for a later date. Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, Ohio 43017.
